Fungi are present almost everywhere, they affect our body in different ways. Most often live in our toenails and fingernails, as there’s a perfect environment for them to grow. It’s not easy to remove this infection. If your nails look dull, they’re crumbly and thickened; it’s a clear sign that they got infected with fungi. In this case your nails look unattractive and have an unpleasant smell. This unhygienic condition is not good for your health; often you may lose your nail as a result of fungal infections. When fungi get into the nail, they are strongly resisted by the immune system. Still it’s really hard to remove them and forget about fungal infections completely.

Nail fungus treatment can be performed by applying topical cures, taking oral medications or going through surgery. These treatments are usually very expensive. Still, there’s a very effective nail fungus natural treatment, which is rather cheap. It’s Zetaclear which can be ordered at www.zetaclear.com. Remember that fungus is a really lasting infection, and even if you can see some noticeable improvements the infection may reoccur and progress, if you don’t take medications. If you’re not sure if you have fungus in your nails or not, check if you have some of the following symptoms of a fungal nail infection:

• Nails grow yellow or, sometimes, brown.
• You have your nail tips crumbly.
• Your nails have become thickened and fragile, and it’s very easy to break them.

So there are certain methods of fungal nail infection prevention: wear open shoes instead of closed-toe if possible, so that your feet will be well aerated. Wear cotton or wool socks instead of synthetic ones and don’t forget to wash and dry your feet thoroughly. Good hygiene requires not to share your towels and wash cloths with other people, as a wet material is perfect way to transmit infectious bacteria. Use nail polish as rare as possible, as it’s believed to be one of the cause of fungus occurring. These suggestions should be followed also in case if you’ve already got infected with fungus, as it will prevent the infection from spreading and reoccurring. AT home you can find one or another nail fungus treatment, so apply it as soon as you’ve noticed the signs of infection. Don’t forget about topical, oral or surgical solutions in order to treat fungus. Using powder will help you to fight athlete’s foot and other diseases caused by fungi.

There are certain types of microorganisms which can get under your nails, causing nail fungal infection. Such infection is called Onychomycosis, and which is often found among people. Infections affecting nails are often caused by Dermatophytes or non-dermatophytic molds, such as Scytalidium Dimidatum. Still the most common type is the Distal and Lateral Subungual Onychomycosis. There is also a certain type of nail fungal infection, associated with AIDS, thus considered to be really dangerous – Proxymal Subungual Onychomycosis. There are some symptoms which occur when you’re suffering from Onychomycosis: your nails become dull, thickened, brittle and fragile. A pain in nail often occurs when fungi start to lift the nail off the nail bed.

The infection will progress, causing the further loss. All of your nails may be affected. Onychomycosis treatment can be performed by surgical means, by taking some oral nail fungus medicine or applying some kind of a topical treatment directly to the infected nails. Surgery is the most effective method, while other treatments provide a long-term solution: you will need to apply them for about six months before seeing any good results. Permanent nail loss is possible as a complication of foot fungal infection, and some procedures of treatment may be painful. The most common instruction of healing fungus with topical treatments is to apply it daily to the affected areas.

Daily remove all the collected debris with the help of a spatula. Usually, you should use a topical treatment for 2-4 weeks before there will be an improvement.

Still, Onychomycosis treatment with a topical solution usually doesn’t remove fungus completely, so a surgery may be required. In some cases, instead of surgery a long-term treatment with oral medications is recommended. Usually such treatment lasts for up to 6 months during which some side effects of oral nail fungus medicine can be developed.

Nowadays more and more women appeal to using artificial nails as an easier way o make the nails look beautiful. The artificial nails cover up the natural ones, and many women use them as a method of covering unattractive nails, affected by fungi. In fact, such cover-up for nail fungus is known as a condition called ”artificial nails fungus”. Artificial nails covering the infected ones don’t perform any nail fungus cure and the problem remains unsolved. What is more, the condition of fungal nails is even worsened by this cover-up, as for nail fungus perfect conditions are created: it really likes darkness and moisture. Thus, applying artificial nails over the natural ones, affected by fungus, creates a favorable environment for fungi growing. Although fungal nails are known to more often occur on feet (as feet are usually placed in a warm, rather damp place with the lack of airing), they also occur under the artificial nails, as there’s too less fresh air.

Fingernail fungus is found much rarely than fungus, appearing on toenails. Still, you should know that an artificial nail placed over the natural one creates intensives for the development and spread of fungi microorganisms. Of course, if a woman notices that her nails start growing yellow, because of fingernail fungus, it’s her natural desire to hide them behind the beautiful artificial nails. Still this doesn’t fix the problem, as the condition of the infected nails will become worse and worse, as the growth of fungi will be fastened due to the favorable environment under the artificial nail. While your fungal nails are covered, their bad condition is not seen by other people, while the nails are being destroyed by the infection. The condition may become so bad, that you’ll no longer be able to even apply the artificial nail, as the natural one is badly affected by fungus. It’s much better to cure the infection at the very beginning rather than trying to hide its unpleasant appearance.

Fingernail fungus is more wide-spread among women than among men, as the beauty industry is flourishing, making them often visit nail shops to get the artificial nails applied. So more and more women as well as some men visit these nail shops to get manicures and pedicures they desire. Still, along with the beauty of artificial nails fungus may come, as some women infected with it also visit such salons. So, fungus may transfer from the infected nails to the tools, and if these tools hadn’t been sterilized, there’s a high risk for you to catch the infection.
